Self & Sonder was founded from a deep belief in the importance of being truly seen, heard, and supported.
My journey into counselling came from both professional experience and personal understanding of how complex and challenging life can be. I have worked alongside individuals facing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, loss, burnout, abuse and periods of feeling disconnected from themselves or others. Through this work, I have seen how powerful it can be when someone is given the space to talk openly, without judgement, and at their own pace.
As a counsellor, my approach is grounded in empathy, compassion, and genuine human connection. I believe that counselling is not about fixing people, but about supporting them to understand themselves more deeply, develop self-awareness, and find their own way forward. Everyone’s experience is unique, and I am committed to offering a safe, respectful space where each person can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that feels right for them.
Self & Sonder was created to reflect these values. The word sonder describes the realisation that every person carries a life as rich and complex as our own. This idea sits at the heart of my work; recognising the individuality of each client while also acknowledging our shared human struggles.
I founded Self & Sonder to offer a calm, grounded space for reflection, healing, and growth. A space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and feel supported through whatever they are navigating. My work is shaped by real conversations, professional training, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek support.
At its core, Self & Sonder is about self-connection, emotional wellbeing, and meeting yourself with kindness, knowing you don’t have to do it alone.
